A mix for Wire magazine (2022)

Published by WIRE MAGAZINE, original post here.

The text I wrote to compliment the mixtape:

“Lately, I’ve been exploring the possibilities of doing mixes as a form of artistic research….In this mix, I dig into some of the sonic elements that inspired me while preparing for my upcoming live performance with Laura at the 2022 edition of Heroines Of Sound. Our performance, [like] this mix, starts with the rhythms of the Peruvian coast – where indigenous, Hispanic and Afro-descendant traditions come together – that we then manipulate and disarticulate using a hybrid (electric and acoustic) cajón and processing through electronic effects and synthesis modules.”
