Havel River for RIVERSSSOUNDS residency program (2021)

The interactive 4-channel soundwork ‘Havel,’ was the result of the online residence at RIVERSSSOUNDS during the month of April 2021.

“I ventured into the river’s very being by zooming deeply into my field recordings. By zooming, I mean cutting and examining tiny details, like drops, splashes, birds, wind and people. I think in these little rudiments we find some of the subconscious of the Havel river. And through continual repetition, synthesis and audio collage I was particularly interested in moving in-between a realistic reference of the site and the act of remembering, which is always more distorted and emotional.”
